Soda Blasting leaves behind a thin protective film which, if left untouched, will prevent surface rust from forming on bare steel surfaces for up 6 weeks or even longer if stored in a dry, protected area. This film must be removed before painting by wiping down with acetone dampened microfiber cloths or suitable lint-free towels.
Only use acetone to wipe residue. Wipe off soda residue, rinse often and immediately follow up with a dry lint-free towel. Any soda media left in body seems or crevices can be removed with a small shop vacuum and a fine tipped blow gun. Be sure to wipe surrounding areas as described above.
This TradeQuip "Made for the Trade" 25kg bag of Soda Bi-Carbonate is manufactured in Australia. It has been specified for use with TradeQuip "Made for the Trade" blasting equipment
Blasting Media Guide
Abrasive blasting has been used for many years to clean and remove rust, paint and corrosion. There are many types of abrasive media available, the most common being Garnet, Steel Grit and Glass Bead. These media have an aggressive cut and can rapidly remove paint and rust. However, they can also generate significant heat, potentially resulting in warped metal and etched surfaces, and they cannot be used on fiberglass. Also, chrome, plastic, rubber, trim, and other parts must be removed from a work surface or masked-off before blasting.
Alternatively, less-aggressive media, such as Walnut Shell, will do a great job at removing paint. Walnut Shell does not generate as much heat as other media, and can be used on sheet metal and fiberglass without damaging the base material. However, Walnut Shell as with any abrasive media, will require more clean-up as it leaves particles in the car body's seams and crevices that can be difficult to completely remove.
Soda blasting media has non abrasive properties which makes it a very universal blasting media which can be applied to lighter materials such as aluminium, plastic, fibreglass, wood etc. Soda Blasting does not damage glass, rubber, chrome items if they are left on a vehicle for blasting.

One of the nicest and friendliest companies I have had the pleasure to deal with. Helpful beyond words in regards to what air sprayer to buy for hubby for a surprise. They explained options and advised what machine to get for the purpose we needed it for. Their shipping was super fast and I have no hesitation at all in recommending them.
Customer service is pretty slack in companies now but, you guys exemplify what good old customer service used to be - THANK YOU!!!! -

I purchased a Mirka Derios Sander and extractor setup fro Go Industrial. The customer service was excellent and the salesman knew the products well. I have since used the Mirka sander and extractor and this piece of kit is amazing.
Zero dust particles escaped the vacuum extraction and the finish with the abrasive pads is amazing. I would definitely recommend Go industrial for any products that is needed and I know I will be returning there in the future for more purchases.
Great work Go Industrial team.
