The PR Electronics 9202B intrinsically safe barrier is an Ex pulse isolator that transmits signals to the safe area from NAMUR sensors and mechanical switches installed in the hazardous area. It provides an interface for NAMUR sensors and switches with extended self-diagnostics and cable fault detection, and is suitable for use with intrinsically-safe pulse meters and nozzle switches.
Features
Flexible Mounting: Can be mounted in the safe area or in zone 2 / Class 1 Div 2 and receive signals from zones 0, 1, 2 and 20, 21, 22, including mining and Class I/II/III, Div 1, Groups A to G.
SIL 2 Certified: Designed, developed and certified for SIL 2 applications to IEC 61508.
Fault Monitoring: Monitors error events and cable breakage via an individual status relay or a collective electronic signal over the power rail.
Status LED: A front LED indicates operating status and malfunction.
Galvanic Isolation: 2.6 kVac galvanic isolation between input, output and supply.
Power Rail Option: Can be supplied separately or installed on the PR type 9400 power rail.
DIN Rail Mounting: DIN rail mounting.
