Handsaws
Bahco has been a leading producer of handsaws for the professional since 1886. In that time they have perfected the handsaw. They offer 3 families of handsaws along with the revolutionary Bahco Handsaw System.
The PrizeCut™ handsaw family features UT – toothing, which is strong and hard wearing, suitable for both rip and cross cutting for all types of wood. The single component solid handle is designed for long lasting use.
Within the family, there are saws ranging from the Universal 22 inch down to a 16 inch. Smaller saws such as Tenon, Veneer, and Compass saws are also available for specialised projects. There are also available a General Purpose saw which is ideal for that project where a delicate hand is needed. Whilst all Bahco handsaws are made for the professional, you may occasionally find this tool in the garage of the weekend carpenter.
The ProfCut™ family is Bahco’s next level offering. It is a professional’s handsaw range made for professional results. Ideal for special applications the ProfCut™ family features handsaws that cut plywood, laminates, timber, plastics, plaster, polystyrene, and concrete. A ProfCut™ is a must have in any tradies toolbox. It features a comfortable two component handle that supports extended use on the job; it is rust protected to ensure durability, and is low friction coated to ensure that it won’t catch. Within this range are handsaws seen on the job site such as Dovetail saws, Precision saws, and Light Concrete saws.
Bahco’s premium handsaw offering is the Superior™ family; it is made with the true craftsman in mind. This family features XT toothing which considers the mix of tooth geometry and grinding angles, coupled with the perfect hardening process to create a system that is the ultimate choice for efficient and comfortable sawing. The handles have undergone Bahco’s rigorous Ergo™ process to ensure that the Superior™ is the most comfortable and efficient handsaw in the market. This handsaw range can be used for course cutting up to fine cuts; a laminate offering is also available. It has a low friction coating on the blades to allow for easier sawing through the work piece, and the blades are thicker for stability and precision. The Superior™ range is the Rolls Royce of handsaws.
