From Design to Dispensing: GO Industrial's Turnkey Lubrication Solution for City of Moreton Bay

A new workshop installation is a new opportunity to do things right from the start - that’s where the GO Team comes in. The City of Moreton Bay were experiencing issues that most councils face: their workshop and fluid handling equipment weren’t keeping up with the expanding fleet, ease of use, or traceability of fluids being used.

Mowers, tractors and service vehicles fall into the workshop category, each needing specific oils. The original system was difficult to locate and easily use the right lubricants, creating delays on the job. Waste oil disposal was also a messy hassle.

As the fleet continues to grow, and the region of Moreton Bay expands with it, the Council needed a solution that wasn’t about simply fixing issues, but about boosting operational efficiency, streamlining oil management, and making sure the system doesn’t get outgrown in a short period of time.

Tailoring to the Council’s Needs

An empty workshop is a clean slate - the GO technical team were able to work closely with the City of Moreton Bay to properly understand their needs. The team devised a tried-and-tested design that has been used on similar workshops for Construction Equipment Australia and Flexhire’s Brisbane Workshop. The team installed self-bunded lubricant tanks, a streamlined waste oil disposal system and integrated airlines and pump systems to increase efficiency. The new setup was built to handle the growing fleet, and ultimately make workshop operations smoother, safer and more traceable for job costing.

Here’s what we put in place:

Lubrication Tank Installation: Three separate self-bunded oil tanks were set up for different engine oil, gear oil and hydraulic oil -  keeping everything organized and eliminating the risk of mixing lubricants.
Waste Oil Management: A reliable waste oil disposal system to safely collect and dispose of used oil, minimising contamination and making the whole process safer.

Four Weeks, One Complete Transformation

In just four weeks, the GO Team got the job done. Managed directly on-site for this period, our Service Manager Mitchell Lean oversaw the fitout, planning and coordination with the Council. The GO Difference is our ability to adapt - the Council had specific requests after seeing the project come together, we were able to react and meet those changes without additional delays.

Efficiency, Organization, and More Capacity

The results were immediate. With the new setup, the workshop became better organised, more efficient, and safer. The self-bunded lubrication tanks ensured that each type of oil was kept safe, separate and accessible, while the waste oil disposal system helped keep everything tidy.

Key results from this project:

  • Safe and Organized Oil Storage: No more wasting time searching for the right one. Every oil had its dedicated self-bunded tank
  • Safer Waste Oil Disposal: The new waste oil system made disposal safe and simple, ensuring compliance.
  • Increased Workshop Capacity: By adding and improving oil storage, the Council can now service more vehicles and equipment faster - cutting down on downtime and improving overall operational output.
  • Reporting and traceability: with the addition of a fluids management system, the Workshop are able to effectively report on, and charge-out the correct volume of lubricants per asset

Future-Proofed and Ready for Growth

The new lubrication fit-out future-proofed the City of Moreton Bay Council’s workshop, making it ready for the next phase of growth. The setup made the workshop more efficient, safer, and better equipped to handle future demands from a growing fleet.
With everything streamlined, the Council is now in a much stronger position to continue expanding their fleet without the logistical and operational headaches they used to face.

The Power of Tailored Workshop Upgrades

This project highlights the difference a tailored lubrication fit-out and oil storage systems can make. Instead of settling for a one-size-fits-all solution, GO Industrial delivered a customised and modified system that meets the Council’s needs.
