  • Engine oil viscosity?

    Match to the engine manual + operating temperature. Common: 10W-30 cold start + moderate; 15W-40 general truck + commercial; 5W-30 modern passenger vehicle.

  • Grease NLGI grade?

    NLGI 2 standard general purpose grease. NLGI 0 + 1 for cold weather + auto-lube. Higher NLGI for high-temperature.

  • Hydraulic oil ISO?

    ISO 32 light hydraulic systems. ISO 46 general industrial. ISO 68 heavy duty + high temp. Match the equipment spec.

  • Is AdBlue interchangeable between brands?

    Yes, provided the AdBlue is ISO 22241-compliant. The standard specifies the exact 32.5% urea solution composition and the tightly-controlled impurity limits required by the SCR catalysts in Euro 5 and 6 diesel engines. Non-compliant 'urea solution' from agricultural suppliers will damage the SCR system and void engine warranty. Valvoline AdBlue, like all major brands, is ISO 22241-compliant and ships with a certificate of conformance.

  • What is the shelf life of industrial lubricants?

    Most engine and gear oils have a 5-year shelf life in sealed original containers stored indoors at 5-30 degrees Celsius. AdBlue has a shorter 12-month shelf life and degrades faster above 30 degrees Celsius (the urea breaks down to ammonia, lowering concentration). Greases have a 2-3 year shelf life. Always check the date code on the container, store away from direct sunlight, and rotate stock first-in-first-out.
