  • What fluids does this range cover?

    Diesel, AdBlue (DEF), engine and gear lubricants and hydraulic oil, plus the tank breathers that filter air into bulk storage. Sizing runs from 3/4in BSP drum breathers up to 3in dual head units and 600 psi flanged housings. Paint sprayer filters are not in this range, they sit under Filters & Strainers.

  • Do I need a housing, an element, or both?

    Both on a first install, element only after that. The housing is the permanent assembly that plumbs into the line and the element is the consumable media inside it. When reordering, match the element to the housing series already fitted, then to micron rating and seal material. Fluorocarbon seals for lube and hydraulic duty, urea-compatible for AdBlue.

  • AdBlue or diesel filtration - which do I need?

    AdBlue (DEF) needs urea-compatible wetted parts throughout and is mandatory on Tier 4 and Euro 6 vehicles. Standard diesel filtration covers particulate and water on bulk storage and dispensing, with elements down to 17 micron on bowsers. Match by fluid type, flow rate and connection size, and never run an AdBlue line through a standard diesel housing.

  • Replacement intervals?

    6 to 12 months on fleet and bulk storage sites, depending on throughput and water content. Change earlier if the pressure drop across the filter rises noticeably, that is the real signal rather than the calendar. Tank breathers get replaced when the indicator shows saturation, or annually on dusty sites. Water removal elements go once they stop shedding water.

  • What connection types and thread standards are used with filters & filtration systems?

    Australian fluid handling equipment predominantly uses BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads in sizes from 1/4" to 3" BSP. Some imported equipment uses NPT (National Pipe Thread) - adapters are available but check thread type before connecting. Cam-lock fittings (Type A through F) are standard for quick-connect hose couplings on tanks and bowsers. Flanged connections (ANSI 150#, AS 4087 Table D/E) are used on larger installations. Always verify thread type, size and pressure rating before assembly to prevent cross-threading or leaks.

Filters, housings, elements and breathers for diesel, AdBlue, lubricant and hydraulic systems. Everything in this range protects stored and dispensed fluid on bulk storage, workshop and fleet refuel sites. Paint sprayer filters are a separate range and sit under Filters & Strainers.

Housings and elements. Simplex and large capacity housings run to 600 psi with flange or BSP ports in 1.25in, 2in and 2.5in, in 20in and 40in element lengths. Fluorocarbon seals suit lube and hydraulic duty. The housing is the permanent assembly and the element is the consumable, so match element series, micron rating and seal material to the housing already on site.

Fuel and AdBlue. Bulk fuel tank kits, dispensing kits and bowser elements down to 17 micron handle particulate and water on diesel. AdBlue housings use urea-compatible wetted parts, which is mandatory once a vehicle runs Tier 4 or Euro 6 emissions gear. Water removal elements pull free and emulsified water out of stored diesel before it reaches an injector.

Tank breathers. Breathers in DN20, DN25, DN40 and DN80 stop vacuum collapse during draw-down and pressure rupture during fill, while filtering the air the tank draws in. Anti-splash trap versions suit mobile and drum-mounted use. Sizing follows peak fill and draw rate, not tank volume.

Why it matters. Water-contaminated diesel is the most common cause of engine failure on fleet vehicles, and particulate clogs injectors long before it shows up as a fault code. AdBlue contamination triggers an emissions failure on Tier 4 and Euro 6 units. Filtration is cheap protection against the cost of that damage, and a rising pressure drop across the filter is the signal to change it.
