FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Why RO + DI together?

RO removes 95-99% of dissolved solids. DI resin removes the remaining ions to near-zero ppm. Used together because RO alone leaves trace ions; DI alone has short resin life on tap water. Combined = long DI resin life + near-zero TDS output.

  • TDS target?

Window cleaning: 10-20 ppm TDS rinse. Solar panel cleaning: near 0 ppm TDS rinse. TDS meter measures output - replace DI resin when TDS climbs above target.

  • Replace DI resin?

When output TDS climbs above target threshold - measured via TDS meter. Replacement interval depends on input water TDS + throughput. Hard water consumes resin faster.

  • How do I properly maintain my RO/DI water purification unit?

Proper maintenance is the secret to keeping your RO/DI water purification unit performing at its peak and delivering those impressive spot-free results for years to come. Your most important tool here is a digital TDS meter. You need to regularly check the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) reading of the water coming out of your system. Once it starts to creep up above 10 parts per million (ppm), it's a clear signal that your filters need attention.

Your DI resin filter is what gives the water its final polish, so this is the most frequent change you'll make. When your TDS readings rise, it's time for a new DI cartridge. For the RO side of the system, you'll also need to replace the sediment and carbon pre-filters every few months. This protects the delicate RO membrane, which is the heart of the unit. Following these simple steps ensures your unit consistently produces ultra-pure water, protecting your investment and guaranteeing a flawless finish on every job.

  • How do I choose the right ro / di purification units for my application?

Selection depends on the specific application requirements: operating environment (indoor/outdoor, temperature range, dust/moisture exposure), duty cycle (intermittent vs continuous), capacity or size specifications, and compatibility with existing equipment. Review the individual product specifications on each product page for detailed technical data. RO / DI Purification Units

6 RO/DI (Reverse Osmosis + Deionising) water purification units for the Tucker water-fed pole window + solar panel cleaning workflow. Strip dissolved solids from tap water so the rinse water leaves no streaks or residue on dry.

RO + DI stage. Reverse Osmosis (RO) stage removes 95-99 percent of dissolved solids. DI (Deionising) resin removes the remaining ions, getting the water to near-zero ppm TDS. Used together because RO alone leaves trace ions; DI alone has short resin life on tap water.

TDS target. Window cleaning: 10-20 ppm TDS rinse. Solar panel cleaning: near 0 ppm TDS rinse. TDS meter measures output water purity. Replace DI resin when TDS climbs above target threshold.
