FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Pelican pail or standard tray?

Wooster Pelican Hand-Held Pail for one-handed cut-in, trim, ladder and tight-access work where a standard tray cannot sit flat. The Pelican is balanced for one-handed grip with a brush in the other hand. Standard tray (Sherlock Bucket Tray) for roller work where the operator loads the roller from a tray on the floor or attached to a bucket lid. Most contractors carry both: Pelican for cut-in, Sherlock for roller.

  • Why use pail liners?

Pail liners (Wooster Pelican Liners 3-pack) save the cleanup time between paint changes. Load a fresh liner, paint, dispose of the liner at the end of the job or at the next paint change. Liners cost less per use than the time of cleaning out a Pelican between colour changes - standard kit on cabinet contractors and trim painters who switch colours multiple times per job.

  • Wide Boy 20 L bucket: when?

Wooster Wide Boy Bucket 20 L is the bulk paint loading bucket for roller work. Decant from larger paint drums (e.g. 15 L Damar Aqua, 20 L Crystalite waterborne) into the Wide Boy at job-start; roller loads from a tray attached to the bucket lid. The wider footprint of the Wide Boy resists tipping vs taller buckets. Standard kit on contractor roller crews.

  • Sherlock bucket tray: 356 mm size?

Wooster Sherlock 356 mm Bucket Tray fits standard 9 inch (228 mm) and 14 inch (355 mm) roller frames. Pair with Wide Boy bucket and matched liners for the full bucket-tray-roller workflow. The 356 mm Sherlock tray is the most-stocked tray size; smaller and larger Sherlock variants cover specialty roller widths.

  • Multi-purpose pail: paint or other materials?

iQuip Plastic Multi-Purpose Pail and Lid suits paint storage and transport, plus general workshop liquids - solvents, cleaners, prep fluids. Heavier-duty than thin-walled paint-can pails. The matched lid seals for transport and storage. Standard kit on contractor trucks for decanting and on-site liquid handling.
