Kolor Kut Hydrocarbon Gauging Paste is used for checking the depth and the presence of hydrocarbons. It is ideal for checking for the presence of hydrocarbons within the interstitial space of self bunded, double wall tanks. Applied to a rod or a length of string with a bottom weight and lowered to the bottom of a fuel or oil tank, the paste changes colour where it contacts gasoline, petrol, diesel or oil, giving a visual indication of the depth of the fluid.
