FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Why a battery paint sprayer?

Battery sprayers run on DC battery power with no mains lead and no fuel engine. Right for: indoor sites with noise or extension-cord restrictions, sites without mains power access, after-hours commercial work where engine noise is unwelcome, or indoor work where trailing cords are a hazard. Trade-off is run time per battery, which means planning the session around battery charging. For sustained 8-hour shifts the corded Ultra 395 PC or Ultra Max II 495 PC Pro is the right call.

  • How long does the 390 PC Stand Cordless run?

Run time depends on the tip orifice and target wet film thickness. As a working rule, the Graco 390 PC Stand Cordless (25T882) covers a medium room interior on a single battery charge. It is also said to spray up to 11L (3 gallons) on a single battery charge. Carry a spare battery for sustained sessions. The unit comes standard with 2 batteries so you can have one in use whilst the other is charging to cut down on any potential downtime on continuous works. For sustained day-long work without battery changeovers, the corded 390 PC Stand or Ultra 395 PC is the right call.

  • Cordless full unit or cordless handheld?

Cordless handheld (Ultra QuickShot and Ultra / UltraMAX Cordless) for touch-up, single doors, single accent walls, hard-to-access spaces. Cordless full unit (390 PC Stand Cordless 25T882) for full-room interiors, exterior walls, fences, decks where a handheld is not enough but a corded unit is awkward. Most contractors carry both: handheld for touch-up, cordless full unit for the bulk on cordless-required sites.

  • Does the 390 PC Cordless take the same RAC X tips?

Yes. The 390 PC Stand Cordless takes the full Graco RAC X SwitchTip range, same as the corded 390 PC Stand and the wider Graco airless paint sprayer family. RAC X LTX for general paint, RAC X FFLP for low-pressure cabinet and trim work. One tip set covers the whole airless fleet, cordless or corded. FFLP tips use a SMALLER seal than standard blue RAC X. Swap the OneSeal when switching tip families.

  • Battery charging and care?

Charge per the Graco operator manual. As a working rule, charge the battery overnight after a working day; carry a spare battery for sustained sessions. Store the battery indoors above 0 degrees Celsius and below 40 degrees Celsius. Battery service life depends on charge cycles and storage conditions; keep batteries out of direct sun in summer and in heated workshop space in winter.

Battery Paint Sprayers

Cordless battery-powered paint sprayers from the Graco range. Five units cover the cordless airless segment from full-unit cordless production work through to handheld touch-up: 390 PC Stand Cordless (25T882) for full-unit airless, FinishPro GX 19 Cordless for cordless industrial portable, Ultra Cordless Handheld for daily water-based handheld paint spraying, and with the Ultra QuickShot / UltraMAX Cordless Handheld for solvent- based paints. All take Graco RAC X SwitchTips / guards except the GRACO UltraMax Handheld which uses its own specific, plastic tip guard.

Graco 390 PC Stand Cordless (25T882). Flagship full-unit cordless airless paint sprayer. ProConnect quick-change pump (in-field cartridge swap), FastFlush single-handle end-of-shift cleaning, RAC X SwitchTip atomisation. Same daily-contractor production-tier features as the corded 390 PC Stand, but battery-driven for noise-restricted indoor sites, after-hours commercial work, and any job where mains lead or petrol is a problem.

Graco FinishPro GX 19 Cordless. Cordless industrial portable airless. Same GX 19 chassis as the corded variant but battery-powered for site work without mains. Suits portable industrial work where the operator is moving frequently between unconnected jobs.

Handheld cordless: Ultra QuickShot, Ultra Cordless, UltraMAX Cordless. Each handheld unit has it's own specialty and purpose. Ultra Cordless Handheld for daily-contractor water based work, UltraMAX Cordless Handheld for the more intensive, oil based paints, The Ultra QuickShot for the oil based paint work and smaller profile hand piece for compact spraying in cabinets and other cramped locations.

Battery, runtime, charging. Cordless Graco airless units use DeWalt 20V MAX battery system - widely available batteries + chargers and fast swap-in-field. Match battery Ah rating to the expected daily run time; carry a spare battery on long sessions to swap rather than waiting for charge.

Same RAC X tip ecosystem. All five cordless units take the full Graco RAC X SwitchTip range, same as the corded units. RAC X LTX for general paint, RAC X FFLP (Fine Finish Low Pressure) for cabinet, trim and finish work. Note the FFLP smaller-seal rule: FFLP tip uses a different OneSeal than standard LTX.
