FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Why triplex pump?

Triplex (3-cylinder plunger) pumps are belt or gear-driven, run at lower pump RPM than axial, produce higher pressure and last much longer under daily use. Every commercial unit on this collection runs triplex - rated for 6-8 hours daily continuous use. Axial pumps on entry units are direct-driven, run at engine RPM, and rated for 1-2 hours continuous - fine for DIY but they wear fast under contractor duty cycles.

  • Senator G2 FL vs JX vs Executive G2?

Senator G2 FL is the flow-rate-led commercial spec (4060 PSI x 31 L/min). Senator G2 JX is the JX-bracket high-flow variant. Executive G2 350 is the flagship at 5075 PSI x 23 L/min - the highest-PSI petrol commercial in the Jetwave range. Pick FL/JX for high-flow area-cleaning work; Executive for the highest-PSI requirement.

  • PMG G2 V-twin: when?

PMG G2 (V-twin Honda GX engine version) is for the heaviest commercial loads where single-cylinder engine drive isn't enough - 4000 PSI x 26 L/min flow with the V-twin GX engine. Right pick for daily heavy commercial work. Single-cylinder GX390 covers most commercial work fine; step up to V-twin only when the spec needs the extra cylinder.

  • What hose length comes with the unit?

Commercial units ship with 10-15 m of high-pressure hose typically; many are configured with a reel for daily-use coil management. Standard quick-connect at the gun end. Add extension hoses (3/8 inch BlueMax or equivalent) for longer reach. Don't add more than 30 m total hose without checking the pump's max hose-length spec - excessive hose length drops pressure at the gun.

  • How do I maintain commercial pressure washers for long service life?

After each use, flush clean water through the system and wipe down external surfaces. Inspect hoses, fittings and o-rings for wear or cracking before each use. Change pump oil per the OEM schedule (typically every 50-100 hours for petrol units). Store indoors or under cover to prevent UV degradation of hoses and seals. For seasonal storage, run a pump-saver solution through the system to prevent mineral buildup and corrosion. Replace worn nozzles before they affect spray pattern — a worn nozzle increases water consumption and reduces cleaning efficiency.

Commercial Pressure Washers

43 commercial-tier pressure washer units - all triplex-pump, all daily-use rated. Covers the Jetwave Executive G2, PMG G2, Senator G2 (FL/JX), Hornet G2 commercial petrol and electric and Jetwave Pegasus/Sirocco series. The contractor-grade tier above DIY and homeowner; below the trailer + truck builds.

Triplex pump = daily duty. Every commercial unit on this collection runs a triplex (3-cylinder plunger) pump - belt or gear-driven, higher pressure, much longer service life than axial. Rated for 6-8 hours daily continuous use. The triplex pump is the single biggest spec that separates a contractor unit from a DIY unit. Annual oil service + seal/valve check on triplex is standard maintenance.

Senator G2 FL vs JX vs PMG. Senator G2 FL (flow-rate-led, e.g. 4060 PSI at 31 L/min) for high-flow commercial work where the painter is covering large area fast. Senator G2 JX is the high-flow variant at JX bracket spec. PMG G2 is the V-twin engine version (V-twin GX engine) for the heaviest commercial loads where dual-cylinder engine drive is needed. Executive G2 350 is the flagship at 5075 PSI x 23 L/min - the highest-PSI petrol commercial in the range.

Engine + pump matching. Honda GX390 (13 HP) for the 4000-PSI, 15-21 L/min commercial tier. Honda GX390 V-twin (PMG G2 26) for 4000 PSI x 26 L/min. Briggs Vanguard or larger for the 5000 PSI tier. The HP rating must support the pump flow + pressure - undersized engines lug at full load. Jetwave matches engines to pumps at factory spec; spec deviations need engineer review.

Hose + reel + accessories. Commercial units typically ship with 10-15 m of high-pressure hose; many are configured with a reel for daily-use coil management. Standard quick-connect at the gun end. RAC-X-style tip swap on the lance. Pair the unit with the matching nozzle and turbo tip set (see Nozzles & Turbo Tips), surface cleaner for floor production, and chemical injector kit for detergent dosing.
