FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Why pay more for Italian-made covers?

Tighter weave, more uniform pile, lower shedding and a longer service life per sleeve. On finish-critical interior work (display homes, premium residential, hospitality), the lower stipple and cleaner lay-off justifies the premium - the cover doesn't shed on the wall and doesn't break down halfway through the job. Budget covers can shed fibres into the paint film, especially on solvent paint, which means rework. Italian-made Superiore and Ultima covers run cleaner for longer.

  • Superiore (woven) or Ultima (microfibre)?

Superiore is the woven cover for general professional wall and ceiling work, suits both waterborne and solvent paint, slightly more textured lay-off. Ultima is the microfibre cover for the lowest-stipple finish on smooth substrates (doors, trim, feature walls), suits waterborne primarily, lay-off is the closest to a sprayed finish. Pick Superiore for general production interior work; pick Ultima for finish-critical doors, trim and feature panels.

  • Is the 250 mm frame worth it over standard 230 mm?

On large interior walls and ceilings the 250 mm frame covers more wall per stroke and reduces total stroke count over the day. The frame and pole take the additional load of the wider sleeve without flex. Standard 230 mm is the right pick for normal-scale residential work where 250 mm would oversize for the wall section. The 300 mm frame is the commercial pick for very large open areas - warehouse, gym, big-ceiling work.

  • Compatible with Wooster Sherlock pole?

Yes - the Euro Rollers frames take the standard threaded-pole connection that Wooster Sherlock, Sherlock GT and the iQUIP Fiberglass Double-Lock pole all use. The cover diameter takes a standard 230 to 300 mm sleeve depending on frame width. Pair with the Sherlock GT pole for a positive thread lock under heavy roller load.

  • Sleeve replacement interval?

Depends on the surface texture, paint type and operator technique. As a working rule, Italian-import sleeves last 2-3x longer than typical Asian-import sleeves on the same work. Replace when nap density visibly drops, when shedding starts (small fibres in the finished work), or when the sleeve flattens permanently after wash-out. Carry one spare sleeve per active frame on the truck.

Euro Rollers

Italian-made premium roller covers + heavy-duty 250 and 300 mm frames. Euro Rollers is iQUIP's premium roller cover range, manufactured in Italy and built for professional finish work where the cheaper-cover stipple won't pass.

Superiore Italian Roller Sleeve Range. The flagship Italian-made woven roller sleeve. Tight-knit weave for low stipple, high paint-loading capacity, and minimal shedding on the wall. Suits waterborne and solvent-based interior wall and ceiling paint where the contractor is finish-critical (display homes, premium residential, hospitality fit-out). Holds up over longer use than budget covers.

Ultima Micro Roller Sleeve Range. Italian-made microfibre roller for the lowest-stipple finish on waterborne paint. The micro-pile leaves a near-spray finish on doors, trim and feature walls when full spray isn't practical. Use on smooth substrates where the painter wants the tight finish a longer-nap microfibre can't deliver.

Heavy-duty 250 and 300 mm frames. Euro Rollers heavy-duty frames in 250 and 300 mm widths. The 250 mm width is the bigger-than-standard cage for production interior work where 230 mm slows the painter down. The 300 mm is the commercial frame for very large open areas - warehouses, gymnasiums, large ceilings. Both frames are built heavier than standard contractor cages to take the load of a long extension pole and a fully loaded sleeve without flex.
