  • Genuine Graco versus aftermarket: does it matter?

    Yes, on the high-pressure components. The Endurance Chromex pump, RAC 5 SwitchTips, gun cable (15E992), gun swivel (224457), Fusion ProConnect Gun and ProConnect Cartridge are precision parts that meet the pressure, atomisation and tolerance specification the LineLazer unit was built around. Aftermarket lookalikes typically fail on tip wear rate, pump packing life and gun atomisation pattern. For consumables that are not under high pressure (paint hoppers, lid clips, hose clamps) aftermarket is generally fine. The high-wear interior components are where the genuine Graco part is the right call.

  • Which RAC 5 tips do I need for the LineLazer V series?

    Two-tip rule for most LineLazer V users: an LL5319 (3-19, fan/orifice combination for 75 to 100 mm carpark and council line widths) and an LL5421 (4-21, wider fan and bigger orifice for 100 to 150 mm long-line and freeway markings). Add a 286 RAC 5 Stencilling SwitchTip if the unit sees stencil work. For long-line truck-mount and runway work move to the Silver Flat 163 series. RAC 5 SwitchTips clear tip-clogs by reversing the SwitchTip without unbolting the gun; that is the design feature that makes RAC 5 the production-favourite consumable on the LineLazer family.

Choosing the Right Line Marking Accessory

Every Graco LineLazer, FieldLazer, ThermoLazer, RoadPak and MMA unit is a system, and the system stays productive only when the consumables and spares match the unit class. This collection holds the full accessory range: spray tips and guards, guns and gun spares, bead dispensing kits, lasers, stencils, hoses and fittings, paint hoppers and lids, filters and strainers, pumps and repair kits, maintenance fluids, and the unit-specific Parts and Assemblies that keep the unit in service. Tips, guns and pumps. RAC 5 SwitchTips are the daily consumable on the LineLazer family: the LL5 series for line marking yellow tips, RAC 5 286 SwitchTip for stencilling, and Silver Flat 163 for long-line truck-mount work. Match the gun to the unit: Flex Plus airless gun for LineLazer paint unit, auto guns for ATS 4110 Clause 6 capability on V 200HS / V 250SPS Reflective and RoadPak, Fusion ProConnect Gun and ProConnect Cartridge for the LineLazer V 200MMA cold applied plastic unit. The Endurance Chromex pump and its repair kits, packing kits, gun cable (15E992) and gun swivel (224457) are the high-value spares the contractor wants on the truck before the breakdown.

Bead dispensing, lasers and hoppers.
