  • Contractor PC versus Contractor versus FTx?

    Contractor PC is the current production gun on Ultra PC sprayers - ProConnect quick-change cartridge for fast in-field service. Contractor (older) is the predecessor without ProConnect; still in service on older Ultra and Magnum unit. FTx is an alternate Graco gun line on selected Magnum and entry unit. Match the gun to the unit serial. The Contractor and FTx Repair Kit (288488) covers both older Contractor and FTx top-end rebuilds.

  • How does ProConnect cartridge swap work?

    Contractor PC carries a removable cartridge that holds the gun fluid path. Worn cartridge is unscrewed, new ProConnect Replacement Cartridge (17Y297) is screwed in, gun is back in service. Saves the time of full gun teardown and rebuild for cartridge-side wear. Trigger-side wear is covered by the Contractor PC Trigger Repair Kit (17Y466) separately. ProConnect on the gun pairs with the ProConnect quick-change pump on the Ultra PC unit - in-field service across both pump and gun without workshop downtime.

  • When do I rebuild versus replace the gun?

    Rebuild when the gun body and trigger frame are still in good condition and the wear is in the cartridge / packings / needle / seat (typical for daily-use guns at scheduled service). Replace when the gun body or trigger frame is damaged from drop or chemical attack, when the rebuild cost approaches replacement cost, or when the gun model has been superseded and parts are no longer stocked.   • Fusion ProConnect: what is in the system?

    Fusion ProConnect is the Graco at-the-gun plural-component mixing system on the LineLazer V 200MMA cold applied plastic unit. ProConnect Cartridge in 1-pack (19Y300) and 5-pack (19Y308) is the standard consumable. MMA Cartridge (25V433), Mix Chamber (25T481), Flat Mix Chamber PC20FL (with 0.020 in / 0.51 mm orifice) and Orifice PC22WD cover the unit-side wear parts. Fusion AP MMA Retrofit Kit (26D973), Fusion PC MMA Gun (25U857) and MMA Air-Purge LineLazer Gun (25E471) cover the gun-side upgrades. Running MMA without Air-Purge is the single biggest cause of catastrophic gun failure on plural-component unit.

  • Are spare parts genuine Graco?

    Yes. Contractor PC ProConnect Replacement Cartridge (17Y297), Trigger Repair Kit (17Y466), Contractor and FTx Repair Kit (288488), Fusion ProConnect Cartridges (19Y300, 19Y308, 25V433, 25T481, PC20FL, PC22WD) and the wider gun-spare range are genuine Graco parts and carry the standard Graco parts warranty. Aftermarket lookalikes typically fail on packing life, needle wear and seat tolerance - for daily contractor use the genuine Graco part is the right call.

Contractor PC: the current daily-contractor airless gun. Graco Contractor PC Airless Spray Gun is the production manual gun on the Ultra PC sprayer range. ProConnect Replacement Cartridge (17Y297) for fast cartridge swap. Contractor PC Trigger Repair Kit (17Y466) for trigger rebuild. Saves time on in-field repair vs full gun teardown. Contractor and FTx Airless Spray Gun Repair Kit (288488) is the standard top-end rebuild for the older Contractor and FTx airless guns - needle, packings, gasket and diffuser/seat for a full top-end rebuild.

Silver Plus and Flex Plus: paint unit manual guns. Graco Silver Plus Spray Gun Kit (287041) - manual airless gun shipped as a complete kit (gun plus 6.4 mm x 15 m hose, 3,300 PSI rated, RAC X 517 HandTite guard, 0.9 m whip hose). Flex Plus Airless Spray Gun (248157) is the RAC X LineLazer fitment - shipped as a kit (287095) with the same hose set on the Flex Plus trigger geometry.

Repair kits and accessory guns. Graco Gun Contractor Repair Kit (287031) on older Contractor / Silver Plus guns. Hydra-Spray Gun Repair Kit (214968) for older Hydra-Spray guns. LineLazer Dual Spray Kit (287626) converts single-gun unit to dual-gun. HD Texture Gun Hose Kit (241338) for texture-coating work on appropriate unit. The Merkur 30:1 shipped with a 1/8 inch fluid hose can starve the pump - replace with a 1/4 inch fluid hose for proper flow. Match the repair kit and accessory gun to the unit serial before ordering.
