Product details

LuminoKrom photoluminescent tape is the no-work version of the paint. It charges off daylight or artificial light and stays visible for over 10 hours after dark, with no power, no cabling and no curing time. Peel it, stick it, walk away.

This is the outdoor grade, rated Class G to CE ISO 17398, the same luminescence class as the Almond Green paint. It goes onto walls and floors across most surface types, so it suits stair nosings, step edges, walkway edges, mobility zone signage, ramps, doorways and any spot where you need a marking up fast without shutting the area down to paint and cure it.

Supplied in 10 m rolls in three widths: 25 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm. Surfaces need to be clean, dry and free of dust and grease before the tape goes down. Made in France. Call our team on 07 3204 2240 if you want a hand working out widths and roll counts for a site.

Features
  • Certified Luminescence: Rated Class G to CE ISO 17398, giving over 10 hours of night-time visibility from a full daylight charge.

  • No Work, No Curing: Ready to use out of the box. There is no undercoat, no dosage to hit and no 24 hour wait before the area reopens, so it goes into live sites without downtime.

  • Zero Power Draw: Stores daylight and releases it after dark with no electricity and no cabling, and keeps working through a power cut when lit signage does not.

  • Instant Recharge: Back to full output after about 15 minutes at 1000 lux, then repeats indefinitely without wearing out.

  • Indoor And Outdoor Rated: The outdoor grade handles demanding environments, and works equally well indoors on evacuation routes, stairwells and plant walkways.

  • Sticks To Most Surfaces: Bonds to walls and floors across most surface types provided they are clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

  • Three Widths: 25 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm rolls, all 10 m long, so you can match line width to the job without cutting down a wider roll.

  • Made In France: Produced under an ISO 9001 certified quality system using the same patented photoluminescent pigment technology as the paint.

FAQs

Common questions.

How long does the tape glow for after dark?
The outdoor grade is rated Class G to CE ISO 17398, which gives over 10 hours of usable night-time visibility from a full charge. It recharges off daylight or artificial light in about 15 minutes at 1000 lux and repeats indefinitely without wearing out.
What widths and lengths does it come in?
Three widths, all on 10 m rolls: 25 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm. Pick the width off the line width you need rather than cutting a wider roll down, since a cut edge lifts sooner.
Where would I use tape instead of the paint?
Tape suits anywhere you cannot shut the area down. There is no undercoat, no 900 g/m2 dosage to hit and no 24 hour cure before traffic returns, so it goes onto stair nosings, step edges, walkway edges, ramps and doorways in live buildings. Paint is the better answer for large pavement areas, long runs and anywhere you need the slip-resistance rating.
How do I prepare the surface?
The surface needs to be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Tape bonds to walls and floors across most surface types, but a dusty or oily substrate is the usual reason a roll lifts early, so it is worth degreasing first.
Can I use the outdoor grade inside?
Yes. The outdoor grade is rated for both, and it is the higher-performing of the two at Class G. There is a cheaper Class D indoor-only grade in the range at roughly half the price if 6 hours of glow covers the job. Ask us if you want it quoted.
Is it a replacement for emergency lighting?
No. It is passive photoluminescent signage, not an emergency lighting product, and it does not replace anything required under your building's fire and evacuation compliance. What it does is keep working when the power is out, which is exactly when lit signage stops.
