The Atlas Copco XAS 78 KD is a portable, towable diesel air compressor from the 8 Series range, delivering 160 CFM (4,5 m3/min) of free air at a working pressure of 100 psi (7 bar). It is light enough to tow behind a standard passenger car without a special licence, with a full size fuel tank, after-cooler and generator built into a compact and lightweight package that can be up to 150kg lighter than comparable models.
Power comes from a four cylinder Kubota V 1505 T diesel engine, and the unit is protected by the Hard Hat canopy with a three layer C3 anti-corrosion coating for long life and strong resale value.
