What type of projects is this sprayer best for?
This unit is the ideal portable airless paint sprayer. Think spraying woodwork, trim, sections of gutters, fencing, garage doors, handrails, furniture, small ceilings in rooms; the list goes on. Keep in mind that the paint capacity is 950mL, so if you’re tackling a larger project with multiple rooms, or an entire exterior repaint, you will be better off checking out our range of professional airless sprayers, such as the Graco 190PC Express or 390PC.
How much paint can I spray on one charge of the battery?
With the included 18V Slimline DeWalt battery, you can expect up to 3.8L of spraying per charge. This will increase or decrease depending on the pressure of the sprayer, and the thickness of the paint you’re spraying. Ensure you’re using the correct Fine Finish Low Pressure tip, and lowest pressure possible, to extend battery life.
Does the QuickShot spit when I spray?
This sprayer is the first of its kind with an instant response electric powered gun, which eliminates spits. As the trigger and needle are not mechanically actuated, there’s no issues with paint building and spitting in the mechanism. Although it is is an electric trigger, it doesn’t change that all-familiar feeling and technique of spraying airless with a standard gun; you just get the benefit of no spitting! Perfect for triggering on-and-off for intricate work with plenty of spray passes.
Is it a hard sprayer to clean?
Not at all! With a 950mL cup and 1.8M hose, the QuickShot flushes very quickly with water. You can wipe out the Pour-N-Go cup, which easily disconnects from the housing, and continue to flush with water. For short term and long term storage, we highly recommend priming the unit with Graco’s Pump Armour to avoid corrosion and paint drying in the pump assembly.
What type of paints spray best through the QuickShot?
It’ll handle a pretty wide range of paints before having troubles! All of your standard architectural coatings: undercoats, primers, sealers, water-based interior acrylics, water-based exterior acrylics, water-based enamels, oil-based enamels, lacquers, stains, polyurethanes and ceiling flats. The QuickShot will also handle low viscosity solvent-based materials, like some polyurethanes, industrial enamels and primers. Try to avoid paints with a pot life of less than 1 hour to avoid any heart ache. The unit will not handle roofing membrane or viscous protective coatings.
Do I need to thin the paint?
Not at all! The Graco Ultra QuickShot handles thick interior and exterior acrylics without thinning. Pour the paint straight into the Pour-n-Go cup, prime and get spraying straight away. Airless sprayers, and durable piston pumps handle thick materials at a high pressure very effectively; this is what you’re paying for in comparison to air/turbine sprayers that struggle to spray standard paints. Not thinning paints is detrimental to your final result - giving you a more vibrant, vivid result, achieving a solid film-build to last for years. If you’re looking to achieve the best sheen and finish quality possible for interior or exterior walls, you can thin your paint up to 5% to improve atomisation. How long does it take to get my new QuickShot?
GO holds a large amount of Graco Ultra QuickShot sprayers in our Melbourne and Brisbane warehouses. For QLD and VIC metro, the shipping time is 1-2 days. For Sydney, Northern Rivers and East Coast suburbs, our transit time is 2-4 days. For WA painters and renovators, GO has a click-and-collect location in Rockingham, WA and takes 4-5 days to ship.
