The GO Peracetic Acid Spill Response Kit (ZTSSPNK) is designed to clean up spills of peracetic acid, which is often used as a cleanser and disinfectant. Peracetic acid, also known as peroxyacetic acid or PAA, is an organic compound with the formula CH3CO3H.
It is used mainly in the food industry as a cleanser and disinfectant, including for bacteria and fungi removal from fruits and vegetables and the disinfection of recycled rinsing water for foodstuffs, and is also a component of antimicrobial washes for poultry carcasses and fruit.
