Product details

The blue roll is the humidity tape. Solvent adhesive on a crepe backing, made in Italy, and it holds where a flat paper tape starts to let go: bathrooms, coastal work, anywhere damp, and anywhere the temperature swings through the day.

Crepe backing is the trade off. It is heavier than the flat paper on Envo Tape and the washi on iGecko, so the line is not quite as fine, but it is far more tear resistant. It comes off in one piece and leaves no residue.

It is also the one tape in the range you can lift while the paint is still wet, which is how you get a genuinely crisp edge on a heavy coat rather than letting it dry and cracking the film. Rated to 14 plus days of UV. Three widths on 50m rolls.

Features
  • Built For Humidity: Solvent adhesive holds in bathrooms, coastal jobs and damp conditions where a flat paper tape starts to lift.

  • Tear Resistant Crepe Backing: Heavier than a flat paper backing, so it pulls off in one piece instead of shredding.

  • Remove While Wet: The one tape in the range rated for removal with the paint still wet, which is how you get a crisp edge out of a heavy coat.

  • 14 Plus Days UV Resistant: Rated for indoor and outdoor work over a two week window.

  • Clean Removal, No Residue: Comes away without leaving adhesive behind.

  • Handles Temperature Swing: Rated for moderate temperature variation, so a wall that heats through the afternoon does not release the tape.

  • Made In Italy: Three widths on 50m rolls: 24mm, 36mm and 48mm.

FAQs

Common questions.

When should I use blue instead of green Envo Tape?
Use blue when there is moisture or temperature movement in play. Bathrooms, laundries, coastal jobs and anywhere the wall heats through the day. The solvent adhesive and crepe backing hold in those conditions where a flat paper tape starts to lift at the edge.
Can I pull it off while the paint is still wet?
Yes, and on a heavy coat that is the better way. This is the one tape in the iQuip range rated for it. Letting a thick film dry over the tape edge and then pulling is what cracks the line.
How is this different from the ProMask Blue tape?
Different adhesive. This one is solvent on a crepe backing, made in Italy, and it is the tear resistant option for humid work. The ProMask blue is an acrylic adhesive at a lower price, rated 14 plus days, and it suits general indoor and outdoor painting.
Is the line as sharp as Envo or iGecko?
Not quite. The crepe backing is heavier than the flat paper on Envo or the washi on iGecko, so you trade a little edge definition for tear resistance and wet grip. If the finish is the priority and conditions are dry, use iGecko.
How long can I leave it on?
Rated to 14 plus days of UV exposure. That is shorter than Envo at 30 plus and iGecko at 180 plus, so plan removal inside a fortnight.
