FAQs

Common questions answered.

Five of the questions we hear most often on carpark and street linemarking gear. Full knowledge base on our FAQ page.

  • Skid or trailer mount?

Mounting skid drops into ute tray or flat-bed truck - vehicle goes back to other work when the unit comes off. Trailer mount stays as a permanent towable rig. Skid for flexible multi-use vehicles; trailer for dedicated cleaning trucks.

  • Frame WLL?

Match the frame's Working Load Limit to unit weight + water + accessories. Standard Jetwave skid frames carry 200-800 kg of pump + engine + tank. Heavier combinations need engineered frame design - consult the GO sales team for custom builds.

  • Compliance?

Trailer frames must be ADR-compliant for AU road tow. Skid mounts on ute trays must comply with vehicle load + restraint requirements (AS/NZS 4380). Custom builds may need engineering certification.

  • Will any pressure washer fit on a universal mounting frame?

That's a great question, and it's something you definitely want to get right for a secure setup. While our mounting frames are designed to be as universal as possible, "universal" doesn't always mean it will fit every single machine ever made. Most professional pressure washers from leading brands share similar base dimensions or 'footprints', which is why our frames feature slotted mounting holes to offer a wide range of adjustability. This design accommodates the majority of popular engine and pump combinations you'll find on the market.

Before you buy, the best practice is always to measure the mounting points on the base of your pressure washer. Compare these measurements with the specifications listed on the mounting frame's product page. This simple check ensures you get a suitable, secure fit for your skid mount. A correctly fitted frame is essential for minimising vibration and creating a stable, professional rig.

  • What connection types and thread standards are used with mounting frames & skids?

Australian fluid handling equipment predominantly uses BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads in sizes from 1/4" to 3" BSP. Some imported equipment uses NPT (National Pipe Thread) — adapters are available but check thread type before connecting. Cam-lock fittings (Type A through F) are standard for quick-connect hose couplings on tanks and bowsers. Flanged connections (ANSI 150#, AS 4087 Table D/E) are used on larger installations. Always verify thread type, size and pressure rating before assembly to prevent cross-threading or leaks.
