Choosing the Right Self Bunded Fuel Tank
The right tank depends on three things: how much fuel you store, where it sits, and what you keep in it.
Capacity. Generator base tanks start at 220 L. The portable GO BOX covers 250 L to 11,000 L with crane lifting lugs and four-way forklift pockets so it can move with the work. GO STORE suits a permanent depot at 5,500 to 16,000 L. For bulk fuel farms, GO CON spans 12,000 L through 110,000 L in standard 10, 20, 40, and 48 foot ISO container footprints, CSC-plated for road, rail, and sea movement.
Site rules. AS 1940:2017 governs separation distance from boundaries, ignition sources, and buildings. If you need to install closer to a boundary or indoors, the Fire Rated range carries a UL2085 four-hour fire rating that drops the AS 1940 minimum separation to 2 m at boundaries and 1 m at fences, and is permitted indoors under Clause 5.6.2(c) for Class 3 dangerous goods.
Fluid. Diesel, kerosene, lubricants, and waste oil run in any model. AdBlue (DEF) needs the dedicated GO AdBlue HD range or a multi-compartment GO Containerised Diesel/AdBlue tank. Petrol storage requires explosion-proof dispensing equipment, so talk to us before you spec the pump.
Every GO range is built from 4 mm Q235B mild steel, pressure-tested between 25 and 35 kPa, finished in AS N14 white marine epoxy, and ships with suction spears with foot valves, return sockets, calibrated dipstick, lockable hatch, and AS 1940 / AS 1692 labelling already in place.
