Overview
The GO Filter Element Water Removal (GO37-13-2-SMX10WS) is the water separation stage of the GO spin-on filtration system. It threads onto the GO2214-047 filter head and is designed to sit downstream of the GO37-13-2-SMX6 particulate element, so solids are captured first and this element is left to handle water alone. It uses the same 310mm steel can, the same 1 1/2"-16 UN-2B thread and the same 16 bar housing as the particulate element, so it drops straight into an existing GO filter station.
Elements are printed GO37-13-2-SMC WS10 on the can. That is the same part as GO37-13-2-SMX10WS.
How it Works
Fluid enters the filter head and is directed through the element from the outside in. Free and emulsified water is held in the media while the fluid passes on through the central core and returns to the system. Because the particulate element upstream has already taken out the solids, the water stage is not competing for capacity and reaches its service life on water alone. Fit a mechanical or electrical differential pressure indicator to the head and the system will tell you when the element needs changing.
