Easy Out manifold filter 244071 is the long, 30 mesh element that sits in the pump manifold. Graco's Easy Out design filters from the inside out, so the debris collects on the inside of the element rather than the outside. It drops clear when you pull it, instead of wiping itself off into the manifold on the way past.

30 mesh is the coarse end of the range and it is the one to run with heavy latex, block filler and elastomeric coatings, and with traffic paint on a striping rig. Going finer than the material wants is the usual cause of a filter that blinds off halfway through a drum.

This is the long element. The same 30 mesh in the short body is 246425, and the long body also comes in 60 mesh as 244067 and 100 mesh as 244068. Fitted to Ultra Max, GMAX, GH 200 and HydraMax airless sprayers, and to the RPS 2900 filter assembly on RoadLazer RoadPak and RoadPak HD striping systems.

Which machines does this filter fit?

What does 30 mesh suit?
The coarse end of the range: heavy latex, block filler, elastomeric coatings and traffic paint. Finer meshes filter better but blind off faster on heavy material, so match the mesh to what you are spraying rather than defaulting to the finest.
What is the difference between long and short?
Body length only, the mesh is the same. This is the long element. The short 30 mesh equivalent is 246425. Use whichever your pump manifold is built for.
What other mesh sizes are in the long body?
60 mesh is 244067 and 100 mesh is 244068. Short bodies run 30, 60, 100 and 200 mesh.
What makes Easy Out different from an ordinary filter?
It filters from the inside out, so the debris collects inside the element. When you pull it, the debris comes out with it rather than being wiped off against the manifold on the way past. Less mess and fewer clogs.
