Its ease of use makes it a popular choice for both experienced professionals and those newer to line striping.
What are the main advantages of using a Graco LineLazer 3400?
The LineLazer 3400 offers bulletproof reliability, straightforward operation, and robust functionality. It's known for producing sharp, professional-quality lines, ease of manoeuvrability thanks to its front swivel wheel, and user-friendly controls located on the handlebars. It's powered by a reliable Honda GX120 petrol engine, and Graco’s Endurance Piston Pump.
What kind of projects is the Graco LineLazer 3400 suitable for?
It's ideal for small to medium-sized projects such as marking car park bays, laying out bike paths, applying stencils, and striping sports fields. It's a versatile unit that can be a valuable addition to an existing line marking fleet or a great starting point for new line marking operators and contractors.
How easy is the Graco LineLazer 3400 to set up and operate?
The setup is very similar to Graco's airless paint sprayers, involving priming the unit, testing spray patterns, and adjusting pressure. The controls are intuitively designed and located on the handlebars for ease of use during operation. The GO article, "The Anatomy of a Graco LineLazer 3400," provides a comprehensive guide to setup and operation.
What are the key components of the Graco LineLazer 3400?
Key components include the Honda GX120 petrol engine, a single manual Graco Flex Plus spray gun, a Graco Endurance Piston Pump, manifold filter, pressure gauge, spray tips (LL319 and Rac 5 Guards, a robust frame with handlebars, and a front swivel wheel for manoeuvrability.
How do I control the Graco LineLazer 3400 for straight lines and curves?
The handlebars feature controls for both steering and spraying. The left trigger typically controls the front wheel, allowing you to lock it for straight lines or release it for marking curves and turns. The right trigger activates the spray gun.
What maintenance is required for the Graco LineLazer 3400?
Regular maintenance is crucial for longevity. This includes engine maintenance (checking fuel, air filter, and spark plug), proper cleaning after each use to prevent paint from drying in the system, and using Graco Pump Armour before storage to protect against corrosion and keep packings from drying out.
What is included when I purchase a Graco LineLazer 3400 from GO Industrial?
Standard inclusions typically feature the LineLazer 3400 unit with a Honda petrol engine, a Graco Silver Plus striping gun, an airless line marking hose (e.g., ¼” x 15M), extra LineLazer & Rac 5 Spray Tips for varying line widths, and a Rac 5 Tip Guard. It's always best to confirm the exact package contents at the time of purchase.
Can I adjust the line width with the Graco LineLazer 3400?
Yes, line width can be adjusted by changing the spray tip and adjusting the height of the spray gun. Different tip sizes are available to achieve various line widths suitable for different applications.
What safety precautions should I take when using the Graco LineLazer 3400?
Always operate the machine in a well-ventilated area. Be aware that it operates at high pressure, so skin injection injuries are a serious risk; always engage the trigger lock when the gun is not in use. Ensure the brake is engaged when the machine is not actively being used to prevent it from rolling away. Refer to the manufacturer's safety guidelines for comprehensive information.
How should I clean the Graco LineLazer 3400 after use?
After spraying, it's essential to flush the unit thoroughly. If using water-based paint, flush with water. For solvent-based paints, use the appropriate solvent. Ensure all paint is removed from the pump, hose, and gun. The GO Industrial YouTube video provides a visual walkthrough of the cleaning process.
What is Pump Armour and why is it important?
Pump Armour is a protective fluid that should be primed through the unit after cleaning and before storage. It prevents corrosion, stops packings from drying out and cracking, and helps to avoid costly repairs, ensuring the machine performs reliably for years.
Where can I find more detailed information or a how-to guide for the Graco LineLazer 3400?
GO Industrial has published an in-depth article, "The Anatomy of a Graco LineLazer 3400 — Features, Setup & a How-To Guide You Need to Master Your Line Marking Unit," and a companion YouTube video that provides a comprehensive walkthrough of its features, setup, operation, and maintenance.
