Product details

Built for the work it does.

Built for contractors taking on residential repaints, property maintenance, and light commercial jobs, the Ultra 390 weighs 12.25 kg, runs a 1.0 HP motor, and delivers a maximum working pressure of 3,300 PSI with a flow rate of 1.8 L/min.

It supports tip sizes up to 0.021 inch, and ships with a 15-metre BlueMax II airless hose, a Contractor FTx spray gun, and a RAC X LTX 515 switch tip.

Compared to the older 390 PC, the Ultra 390 adds Graco's Endurance Vortex pump for longer pump life between rebuilds, plus ProConnect for 60-second pump swaps in the field.

Who it's for: painters and property maintenance crews spraying 400+ litres a year.

Who it's not for: industrial protective-coatings work, or heavy-bodied materials like elastomerics. For those applications, step up to the GMAX or Mark range.

Features
  • ProConnect System: Allows you to swap out the pump in minutes, eliminating downtime on the job.

  • Endurance Vortex Pump: Operates in a spiral motion, wearing out the seals and packings evenly increasing the pumps lifespan and reducing the need for repairs.

  • Chrome Coated Steel Frame: Durable, lightweight stand design that is easy to clean and won't rust.

  • Advantage Drive: Hardened steel gears that run smooth, reliably, and quietly.

  • Lightweight Portability: At only 13kg (30 lbs) and with it's compact size, it is designed for easy transportation to and on the job-site.

  • Swivel Inlet Suction Hose: High-quality hose that stays submerged in the paint bucket and swivels for easy movement.

  • FTx Gun: Comes with the lightweight, ergonomic spray gun for all-day comfort.

  • BlueMax II Hose: Includes 15 Meters (50 feet) of 1/4 inch airless hose for plenty of reach.

FAQs

Common questions.

What is the difference between the new Graco Ultra 390 and the older 390 PC?
The new Ultra 390 replaces the older 390 PC with three major upgrades for better portability and performance. It is significantly lighter at just 12.2 kg, features a highly efficient and maintenance-free brushless motor instead of a brushed one, and upgrades to the longer-lasting Endurance Vortex piston pump.
What types of projects is the Graco Ultra 390 best suited for?
Built for entry-level professionals, this sprayer is perfect for residential and light commercial jobs. It easily handles interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and fine detail work like cabinetry. The system is highly versatile and reliably sprays a variety of materials, including primers, undercoats, interior and exterior acrylics, enamels, varnishes, and lacquers.
What are the maximum flow rate and tip size for the Ultra 390?
Despite being lighter, the new Ultra 390 maintains the exact same reliable power specifications as its predecessor to ensure consistent coverage. It delivers a maximum flow rate of 1.8 liters per minute, supports a maximum tip size of 0.021 inches, and operates at a maximum working pressure of 3300 PSI.
What makes the Endurance Vortex pump different, and is it hard to maintain?
The Endurance Vortex pump significantly reduces downtime by automatically rotating the piston rod as it pumps, which ensures even wear on the packings and dramatically extends the pump's lifespan. If maintenance is ever needed, the built-in ProConnect system allows you to swap out the entire pump directly on the job site in just a few minutes without using any tools.
Do I need to thin my paint before using the Graco Ultra 390?
For most standard architectural coatings, you will not need to thin your paint. The Ultra 390 is a professional-grade airless sprayer that uses a high-pressure piston pump to atomize heavy materials effortlessly. It easily handles unthinned interior and exterior acrylics, primers, enamels, and varnishes straight from the bucket. However, you should always check the paint manufacturer's specific application guidelines, as certain specialty or heavily textured coatings might require a slightly different setup.
