The Challenge

Operating in Rural WA presents unique logistical and operational hurdles. The customer faced the classic "remote area" dilemma: they required high-output, professional-grade equipment, but couldn't risk the downtime associated with overly complex or fragile systems.

They needed a solution that solved complex problems with simple engineering. The truck had to handle high-viscosity paints, allow for versatile application angles, and ensure operator safety without forcing the driver to leave the cab constantly. The system also had to be robust enough to withstand the vibration and dust of rural roads while maintaining 100% reliability.

The GO Industrial Solution

The core of the build is the Graco RoadPak 2-Pump System, configured to run three guns on the right and one on the left. This setup ensures maximum versatility for road striping while maintaining the reliability Graco is known for.

To meet the specific demands of the project, GO Industrial engineered several custom solutions:

• Smart Storage & Flow: A custom-fabricated 1000L IBC paint storage system mounted on a tilted stand. This simple yet effective engineering solution ensures that viscous product always runs towards the pump inlet preventing flow issues.

• Custom Spotting Arm: A retractable spotting arm fabricated in-house. This allows the operator to extend either side of the truck for precise spotting, providing the flexibility needed to get difficult jobs done.

• Integrated Transfer System: A Husky diaphragm pump was installed below the deck for rapid paint transfer, plumbed directly into the IBC for fast refills and minimized downtime.

• Advanced Control & Safety: Inside the cab, the truck features a fully integrated Skipline system with dual controllers for both passenger and driver. This syncs all camera systems and provides cloud-based reporting, giving the operator full visibility and control without stepping onto the road. Safety was paramount for this build. The body, fabricated by Duralloy, is fitted with a comprehensive safety suite, including 360-degree beacons and E-stops wired to every point of the truck ensuring immediate shutdown capabilities in an emergency.
