  • Industrial GX 19 / GX 21 versus professional Ultra?

    Professional Ultra range (Ultra 395 PC, Ultra Max II 495 PC Pro) is for daily-use painting contractor work: residential, commercial, light-industrial. Industrial GX 19 (17H214) and GX 21 (17H219) step up to higher pump duty cycle and larger tip support for daily industrial coatings work: protective coatings, refinery maintenance, shipyard, factory maintenance. FinishPro GX 19 Cordless (25U855) adds battery power. As a working rule, Ultra for paint contractor work; GX 19 / 21 when the daily work is industrial coatings rather than architectural paint.

  • When do I need a King 45:1, King E60 or King 70:1?

    King 45:1 (K45FH2) is hydraulic-driven heavy-duty airless for high-pressure, high-flow protective coatings. Standard on shipyard, refinery, large-area industrial maintenance where coating viscosity or coverage demands exceed GX 19 / 21 capability. Around 180 CFM compressor required. King E60 steps up to 6000 PSI hazardous-area approved for high-build mining coatings (e.g. intumescent fireproofing in haz zones). King 70:1 carries the heaviest intumescent and Interchar 3120 fireproofing at 7000 PSI for single-leg spray. Match by coating TDS pressure spec and the site hazardous-area classification.

  • Solvent-based on steel: which unit?

    Air-driven only. Standing rule from Graco technical (Jeff Nind): the electric motor on an electric airless is a spark risk on a flammable-coating site, so solvent-based industrial coatings on steel need an air-driven unit. Merkur ES 30:1 (low-flow, 0.4 GPM / 1.5 LPM, 0.7 SCFM @ 100 PSI), Merkur 30:1 (high-flow, up to 4.5 LPM / 1.2 GPM, 17 SCFM @ 100 PSI), Merkur X48 (48:1, 4800 PSI max for Jotacote 605 2-pack epoxy), King 45:1 (180 CFM compressor required), King E60 (6000 PSI hazardous-area for high-build mining), King 70:1 (intumescent + Interchar 3120). Cross-reference the coating TDS for minimum pressure and tip orifice.

  • ToughTek for mortar, cement, fireproofing?

    Yes. The Graco ToughTek family covers mixing-and-pumping for mortar, cement, fireproofing and similar high-viscosity applicator work. ToughTek CM20 Continuous Mixer (25M563) for mortar / cement continuous mix-and-pump. ToughTek MP20 single-phase mixing pump for smaller batch mortar / cement work. ToughTek M680a (262927) for high-viscosity mortar mixed with sand (2-part epoxy / mortar) - purpose-built per Graco technical. ToughTek F340e and S340e portable pumps for fireproofing (F340e Xypex Concentrate confirmed compatible by Graco technical). Match by application and daily volume.

  • Do you offer on-site commissioning for industrial sprayers?

    Yes. On-site training and commissioning are available for industrial GX 19 / 21, King series, Merkur, ToughTek and Mark series unit Australia-wide. Industrial commissioning typically includes operator training on the specific coating system, calibration of pump pressure and tip selection against coating TDS, end-of-shift flush procedure, and PPE requirements per AS/NZS 1715 (respiratory). Stock the matched RAC X SwitchTip set, hose, gun rebuild kit and end-of-shift flush fluid on first delivery. For air-driven units pair with a 3-Stage Desiccant Drying System on moisture-sensitive 2-pack epoxy and polyurethane to remove compressed-air moisture before the gun.

Higher pump duty cycle than professional Ultra range, designed for daily industrial coatings work. Cordless GX 19 adds battery power for sites without mains.

Heavy-duty hydraulic: King 45:1, King E60, King 70:1. Heavy Duty King 45:1 (K45FH2) is hydraulic-driven heavy-duty airless for high-pressure, high-flow protective-coatings work. 45:1 air-to-fluid ratio matches industrial coatings viscosity and atomisation requirements where electric airless is undersized. Around 180 CFM compressor required. King E60 steps up to 6000 PSI and is hazardous-area approved for high-build mining. King 70:1 carries intumescent fireproofing at 7000 PSI for single-leg spray.

Interzone 954 and Jotacote 605 specifics. Interzone 954 (85 percent volume solids): 2600 PSI minimum, 0.023 tip minimum, 6 to 10 inch fan, Mark V or GMAX II 3900 minimum unit. Airlessco 6000 is no longer available in Australia. Jotacote 605 (2-pack epoxy): 42:1 air-driven minimum, Merkur X48 (48:1, 4800 PSI max) is the recommended unit. Electric motors NOT safe for Jotacote 605 - spark risk. Cross-reference the coating TDS for minimum pressure and tip orifice on every industrial-coating quote.

Plural-component, fireproofing, mortar. Graco ToughTek CM20 Continuous Mixer (25M563), ToughTek MP20 mixing pump, ToughTek M680a hopper piston pump (262927, purpose-built for high-viscosity mortar mixed with sand) cover mortar / cement applicator work.
