A self-bunded tank is a tank within a tank. The secondary containment is built into the unit rather than poured around it, so you do not need to construct a separate bund wall on site. If the inner tank leaks, the outer skin holds the fuel. That makes the tank relocatable, faster to install and far simpler to get approved. Every tank in the GO BOX, GO STORE and GO CON ranges is truly self-bunded.

Work back from your burn rate and your refill interval. Add up the litres your fleet or plant uses in a week, then size the tank so you refill on a schedule that suits your supplier rather than an emergency. As a rule of thumb, a small crew running utes and light plant is served by 250 L to 2,000 L, a depot or workshop by 5,500 L to 16,000 L, and a mine site or major transport depot by 12,000 L and up. Separation distances come from AS 1940, the Australian standard for the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids. Diesel is a combustible liquid rather than a flammable one, so it is treated less severely than petrol, but distances still apply and they change with the volume stored, the class of liquid and what sits on the other side of the boundary. Self-bunded tanks are viewed more favourably than single-skin tanks because the containment is integral. Send us your site plan and your volume and we will tell you what applies.

Flow rate comes down to how much fuel you move and how often. For utes, trailers and plant running off a 12V or 24V battery, 50 to 85 L/min covers most field refuelling. For fixed depots and workshops on mains power, 240V pumps run from 56 up to 200 L/min, with high-flow units beyond that for bulk transfer. AdBlue dispenses slower on dedicated stainless equipment at around 34 L/min. Match the nozzle to the pump so the automatic shut-off keeps pace, and tell us your litres per day and we will size it.

It comes down to where the pump lives. A 12V DC pump runs off a vehicle or plant battery, so it goes anywhere: utes, trailers, service bodies and machines in the field. Expect 50 to 85 L/min. A 240V AC pump needs mains power and suits fixed installations such as depots, workshops and generator day tanks, where it will run from 56 up to 200 L/min and takes filtration, fuel management and tank gauging without fuss. If you have no mains and no host vehicle, a solar package with a panel, deep cycle battery and regulator gives you 12V anywhere.

AdBlue (also sold as DEF) is a 32.5% urea solution dosed into the exhaust of modern diesel engines to cut NOx emissions. It is mildly corrosive and it crystallises, so it must never share equipment with diesel. Use a dedicated pump with stainless steel and EPDM wetted parts, a dedicated nozzle and dedicated hose. A diesel pump moved onto AdBlue will fail, and it will contaminate the fluid.
